South Gulf Cove

The community of South Gulf Cove is a deed-restricted community located just off Rt. 771 on the way to Boca Grande from Port Charlotte. This new community has an extensive 55 mile canal system most with sea-walls that converges into the Interceptor Lagoon. This leads to a lock near the mouth of the Myakka River and has access to Charlotte Harbor and Gulf of Mexico. A number of the properties are designated as having sailboat access meaning that there are no bridges to the harbor.

Gulf Cove is located on the western bank of the Myakka River, north of state road 776. Grocery shopping is just minutes away on SR776 and Gulf beaches are within a 20-minute drive. This is a canal and riverfront community. Many of the riverfront homes have a fantastic view over nearly a mile of open water. The majority of the homes are located on wide canals. The canals in this area are fairly short, so boating time to the river is only a few minutes.

Harbour Heights

Harbour Heights is a peaceful community bordered by the Peace River. It is at Exit 30 off I-75, making it easy for those going North to Sarasota, Tampa, Orlando, etc, or South to Ft. Myers, Naples or Miami.
Although basically a retirement community, Harbour Heights welcomes families with children. The Harbour Heights Park is on the shore of the Peace River.
